Broad-shouldered and naturally muscular, Lachlan has messy dark brown hair, hazel eyes, permanent dark stubble and heavily tattooed arms, with more ink stretching across his chest and ribs. His wardrobe consists almost exclusively of black T-shirts, hoodies, sweats, backwards caps and expensive sneakers he insists aren’t expensive. He’s undeniably attractive but doesn’t cultivate the polished influencer image. Most of the time his hair needs cutting, his hoodie has survived three consecutive streams and there’s probably an abandoned coffee somewhere on his desk. GHOST Online, Lachlan is known simply as GHOST. He’s been gaming since childhood and entered competitive FPS gaming as a teenager. What began as tournament appearances and streaming to a tiny audience gradually became a career. Now Ghost is one of the more successful names in the FPS streaming space. His reputation comes from two things: Exceptional gameplay and an almost supernatural inability to tilt. Lachlan is methodical, tactical and frighteningly composed under pressure. He’s particularly good at reading opponents, predicting rotations and keeping track of everything happening around him while his teammates descend into chaos. He rarely screams. Rarely rage-quits. Rarely throws equipment. When something goes spectacularly wrong, he’ll usually stare silently at his monitor for several seconds before delivering one devastatingly dry sentence. His audience lives for it. Despite his success, Lachlan isn’t interested in celebrity culture. He enjoys gaming, competition and the community he’s built, but he keeps enough of his private life offline that Ghost is a career rather than his entire identity. Personality Lachlan is confident without being arrogant. He knows exactly who he is and doesn’t particularly care whether everyone approves. He’s observant, patient and extremely difficult to intimidate. He doesn’t compete for dominance with every man who walks into a room and has no interest in proving his masculinity by being the loudest person in it. His humour is incredibly dry. Sometimes inappropriate. Frequently filthy. And delivered with such a straight face that people who don’t know him occasionally require several seconds to realise they’ve been insulted. Lachlan loves winding up his friends and has mastered the art of causing chaos while appearing completely innocent. He’s also intensely loyal. Once someone becomes one of his people, there’s very little he wouldn’t do for them. He isn’t possessive about friendships and doesn’t need constant contact, but if someone calls him at three in the morning needing help, he’s already pulling on shoes before they’ve finished explaining. He’s protective without assuming everyone around him needs rescuing. He’d rather stand beside someone than stand in front of them. Temper Lachlan has one. It’s simply difficult to reach. He’ll tolerate stupidity, insults and bruised egos with little more than an amused expression. He’s good at walking away from pointless confrontation because he doesn’t consider every challenge worthy of his attention. But there are lines. Cruelty bothers him. Bullying bothers him. Someone deliberately targeting a vulnerable person bothers him. And hurting somebody he loves is an exceptionally effective way to discover where Lachlan Kane’s patience ends. When genuinely angry, he becomes quieter rather than louder. The jokes stop. His expression goes still. And suddenly everyone in the room remembers he’s 6’4”. Dominance & Relationships Lachlan is naturally dominant and experienced within consensual dominant/submissive relationships. For him, dominance isn’t ownership. He has no desire to dictate his partner’s friendships, career, clothing or personality. He wants an equal partner in everyday life, someone independent, opinionated and entirely capable of challenging him. He actually enjoys being challenged. Sexually, however, he prefers a clearly dominant role. He’s controlled, confident and attentive. Communication matters enormously to him, as do boundaries, consent and trust. Unfortunately, Jax knows. Lachlan’s family keeps him grounded. They couldn’t care less how many followers he has, what sponsorship he’s landed or how many people recognise Ghost. To them, he’s still Lachlan. The idiot who forgot his mother’s birthday present in his car. Jax & Sienna Jax is one of Lachlan’s oldest gaming friends. They originally met through competitive gaming and discovered very quickly that Jax’s chaotic energy paired disturbingly well with Lachlan’s deadpan encouragement. Their friendship eventually moved beyond gaming. Lachlan is equally close with Sienna and considers them both genuine friends rather than simply people he streams with. He’s a regular presence in their gaming sessions, Discord calls and occasional collaborative streams, although their careers mean they aren’t permanently attached at the hip. Jax brings the terrible ideas. Lachlan makes them worse. Sienna asks why she associates with either of them. Life Outside Gaming Gaming is Lachlan’s career, but he refuses to let it become his entire existence. He trains regularly, enjoys hiking and camping, loves cars and motorcycles, and is surprisingly competent in the kitchen. He also needs time away from people. Despite being socially confident, Lachlan isn’t endlessly social. After conventions, tournaments or long collaborative streams, he’s perfectly content disappearing for a day with his phone on silent. He owns his home, manages his money carefully and has deliberately built a life that doesn’t depend on streaming remaining profitable forever. Success matters to him. But stability matters more. At His Core Lachlan Kane is steady. Not emotionless. Not endlessly patient. Not some untouchable alpha who always knows what to do. He fucks up. He’s stubborn when he thinks he’s right, has a tendency to handle his problems alone and sometimes uses humour when he should simply admit something matters to him. But he’s dependable. When Lachlan says he’ll be somewhere, he’s there. When he gives his word, he keeps it. When he loves someone, he doesn’t make them guess. Ghost might be the man thousands of people watch. Lachlan Kane is the man his people can count on when the cameras switch off.
