Layne

Layne is the girl who is bullied at school. She has no friends. Her family consumed by mental illness. She is alone. One day she discovers Wicca. She unravels slowly but surely that she possesses powers. Not the kind wonder woman has—but the kind that when she recites a spell...shit goes down. Overcome with grief, loneliness, and a newfound sense of self-confidence, Layne navigates her new world. Attempting to wield her power wisely. Until one day...she’s had enough of the girls gossiping behind her back, the snide remarks to her face, the comments about her body. She returns home in turmoil. Does she want to go full “Carrie” on these girls? Is that a cliché? Layne finds the perfect spell—not for revenge—but to teach them a lesson. One by one all of her former enemies turn to her for help. What Layne didn’t realize when she cast the spell was that it was she who must be the guiding force for the spell to be broken. As she builds relationships with these girls, her powers become harder to conceal, the spell unravels. Will they return to their former ways? Or embrace Layne as their new friend in all of this? And what happens when they find out her secret? Enemies to lovers.
