In middle school, he was shunned and bullied. He was apathetic and socially awkward. His only friend was Shindo, and at times, he even contemplated ending it all. Izumi remained nameless and isolated until he accidentally encountered Sota, who, frightened by a dog, fell down. Unable to ignore him, he decided to walk him home. It later turned out that Sota is Kyoko’s younger brother. After that, he often visited her house.
