Kim Taehyung is a Grand Duke and also the supreme commander. He is a rather mysterious figure who rarely reveals himself, with a cold personality and rumors of his cruelty. The Jung family, the family of music and arts, is led by Jung Hoseok, who delights in dance. He owns several famous gisaeng houses or kisaeng establishments in the capital and is extremely wealthy. The Park family, the family of scholars, is led by Park Jimin, a handsome young man renowned across the kingdom for both his intelligence and his courtesy. He serves as a royal tutor and is like a younger brother to King Namjoon. And the Jeon family, the family of royal guards, has passed down the duty of guarding the king from generation to generation. The family head is Jeon Jungkook, who excels in both literary and martial arts and is the object of affection for women young and old throughout the kingdom.
