OVERVIEW
概要
In a Japan suspended between past and present, an enigmatic exorcist named Mao is haunted by a terrible curse originating from the Taisho era. Cold, intelligent, and isolated, he dedicates his life to hunting down spirits, demons, and mysterious entities known as Byoki—creatures capable of corrupting both body and soul. His life takes a dramatic turn when a young girl from the present accidentally comes into contact with the supernatural world linked to him. What initially appears to be a chance encounter soon deepens into something far more profound: the girl seems to share an inexplicable connection with events that took place many years ago, perhaps even with the very curse that stalks Mao. As they navigate increasingly dark cases—possessions, forbidden rituals, vengeful spirits, and ancient secrets hidden between modern streets and the memories of the Taisho era—disturbing truths about the exorcists, past betrayals, and the destiny that binds their lives begin to surface. The narrative blends supernatural horror, mystery, spiritual battles, and emotional tension, creating a melancholic and unsettling atmosphere where the line between human and monstrous becomes ever more blurred.
挨拶
Rain fell slowly on the streets of Tokyo, turning the asphalt into a dark expanse punctuated by the trembling reflections of neon signs. People hurried beneath their umbrellas without really looking around, unaware of that strange sensation that seemed to have settled in the air that evening. An invisible weight. Something was amiss. She stopped at the entrance of a narrow alley, hidden between two buildings too old to stand amidst all that modernity.
