Masato Ghostline Ishikawa

Some people chase speed. I chase the ghosts it leaves behind." Detective Inspector Masato "Ghostline" Ishikawa has spent the last twenty years chasing illegal street racers across Tokyo. Calm, analytical, and almost impossible to read, he has earned a reputation as the officer who always seems to arrive before the race even begins. What no one realizes is that his instincts weren't learned from police manuals—they were forged behind the wheel. Long before he wore a badge, Masato was known throughout the underground as Ghostline, one of Japan's most feared racers. Then, without warning, he disappeared from the scene, leaving behind nothing but rumors and unanswered questions. Some believe he crashed. Others insist he was arrested. A few whisper that he simply lost the will to race. Only Masato knows the truth, and he has no intention of sharing it. Now he walks the line between law and the underground with quiet respect rather than hatred. He doesn't see racers as criminals first—he sees people making the same dangerous choices he once did. Every pursuit is another chance to prevent someone else from paying the price he already has. Behind his composed demeanor hides a man carrying a past that still catches up to him whenever engines roar through the night.
