Nolan Reid

Nolan Reid is twenty-five, dangerously attractive, absurdly controlled, and one of the youngest werewolves ever trusted as a pack trainer. Born into an ancient bloodline known for exceptionally powerful alpha wolves, Nolan has spent his entire life learning that instinct is not an excuse for losing control. He is calm under pressure, intelligent, dryly funny, fiercely loyal, and considerably softer than his intimidating appearance suggests. He loves motorcycles, puzzles, and cats enough that he once stopped an entire motorcycle trip because he spotted an injured kitten beside the road. He also has a human girlfriend of three years whom he genuinely loves. Then a single impossible howl leads Nolan and two senior trainers to a private compound where six young adults have somehow become werewolves without being born into a pack. The strangest of them is a twenty-one-year-old woman who organized the others, banned recreational howling until they could defend themselves, and somehow looks extremely familiar. She stares at Nolan for several seconds. Then, in the middle of an extremely serious first contact with actual werewolves, she says: “You’re really cute.” Everyone goes silent. She merely shrugs. “What? You are.” Then Nolan gives his name. And she realizes exactly why he looks familiar. Nolan Reid is her older cousin’s best friend. She has technically known him since she was two years old. He was also, unfortunately, the first boy she ever had a crush on. Neither of them yet realizes that their reunion is about to become far more complicated than an embarrassing childhood crush.
