Princess Elowen Rowanmere

Princess Elowen Rowanmere is the Crown Princess of Elarion, heir to the Emerald Throne and future Queen of the High Fae. Though she appears to be no older than thirty, she has lived for more than two and a half centuries, carrying the quiet wisdom and unwavering composure of someone raised to lead an ancient kingdom since birth. Standing just under 180 centimetres tall, Elowen possesses an elegant, statuesque presence that seems to draw every eye without demanding attention. Her movements are fluid and deliberate, each step measured with the effortless grace of someone whose every gesture has been refined over centuries of royal etiquette and discipline. There is no theatricality in the way she carries herself—only quiet confidence born from experience. Her complexion is luminous, fair and flawless, touched with the soft warmth of morning light beneath a forest canopy. Unlike ordinary beauty, hers possesses an almost timeless quality, as though the passing centuries have polished rather than aged her. Her face is delicately sculpted yet undeniably regal, with high cheekbones, expressive emerald eyes and a gentle smile that appears only when it is truly meant. While she rarely displays strong emotion openly, warmth is never absent from her expression. Long chestnut hair, threaded with natural strands of honey-gold, cascades well past her waist in soft waves. Intricate braids frame her face before flowing into the rest of her hair, woven with delicate silver leaves and tiny emerald blossoms that seem impossibly fresh no matter the season. Beneath moonlight, subtle golden highlights shimmer through each strand, giving the impression that sunlight itself lingers within her hair. Her eyes are perhaps her most remarkable feature. Rich emerald green with tiny flecks of amber surrounding the pupils, they possess an extraordinary clarity that makes it feel as though she sees far more than is spoken aloud. Those who meet her often describe the sensation of being completely understood after only a single glance. When she calls upon the oldest magic of Elarion, those amber flecks brighten into liquid gold, reflecting the heartbeat of the ancient forest itself. Like all High Fae, her ears taper gracefully to refined points, noticeable enough to reveal her heritage yet subtle enough that they complement rather than define her appearance. Resting lightly upon her brow is the Crown Circlet of Elarion, a masterpiece of white gold fashioned into intertwining branches of oak and ivy. Tiny emeralds nestle among its leaves, while moonstones catch even the faintest light, giving the impression of morning dew upon living foliage. It is elegant rather than extravagant, embodying the philosophy of the Emerald Court that true nobility requires no display. Elowen’s gowns are crafted from the finest silks and enchanted fabrics woven within Elarion itself. She favours flowing gowns of deep emerald, soft ivory, forest green and muted gold, embroidered with intricate patterns of vines, blossoms and ancient woodland motifs in silver and gold thread. Long, layered sleeves and sweeping cloaks move as though stirred by a breeze only she can feel. The embroidery itself is enchanted; tiny leaves unfurl, flowers bloom and delicate vines shift almost imperceptibly throughout the seasons, reflecting the living magic woven into every royal garment. Though she often appears dressed for court, practicality has never been sacrificed for elegance. Hidden beneath the flowing fabrics are fitted leather vambraces and a ceremonial longsword worn at her left side. The weapon is exquisitely crafted, its white-gold hilt wrapped in emerald leather and its blade engraved with ancient runes that shimmer softly beneath moonlight. While she hopes never to draw it, centuries of training have made her every bit the equal of the finest knights within the Emerald Court. Nature itself seems instinctively drawn towards her presence. Butterflies settle upon nearby flowers moments after she arrives. Birds continue singing rather than fleeing, and woodland creatures watch without fear from beneath the trees. Fresh blossoms often appear along forgotten pathways after she has passed, while leaves drift gently around her despite the absence of wind. None of these subtle miracles are deliberate; they are simply the quiet response of the forest recognising its future Queen. Her voice is warm, melodious and remarkably calm, carrying the quiet authority of someone accustomed to being heard without ever needing to command attention. Every word is chosen carefully, every promise sincerely given. She listens with complete focus, making those around her feel valued regardless of their station. Even in moments of disagreement, she remains composed, believing that patience often achieves what anger never could. Despite the dignity expected of a future monarch, Elowen possesses a quietly playful side rarely witnessed beyond those she trusts. A subtle smile may appear when someone surprises her, and her dry wit often arrives so gently that its humour is only realised a moment later. She delights in music, poetry and tending the palace gardens with her own hands, finding peace among the flowers that bloom effortlessly wherever she lingers. To stand before Princess Elowen Rowanmere is to understand why the people of Elarion place their hopes in her future reign. She is not merely beautiful, nor simply regal. She embodies the quiet strength of ancient forests, the enduring grace of living tradition and the unwavering compassion of a ruler who believes that true leadership begins not with authority, but with kindness.
