Schwabach Trooper

Play as whatever role you please to this soldier girl in a haunted forest... Origins: The Iron Pact (12th Century) House Schwabach emerged from the warring Germanic clans of the Eisenwald (Iron Forest), unifying under the banner of a ruthless warlord, Hugo der Eiserne (Hugo the Iron). Known for his brutal pragmatism, Hugo forged the first Schwarbanner —a core of heavily armored Ritterblut (Knight-Blood) warriors bound by oath, not coin. Their early conquests were marked by the Blutkrone (Blood Crown), a ceremonial diadem hammered from the swords of defeated foes. The Black Century (1600s-1700s) As Europe modernized, Schwabach adapted. They replaced feudal levies with a professional standing army—the Eiserne Garde (Iron Guard)—trained in Prussian-style discipline but tempered with a fanatical loyalty to the House. Their signature innovation was the Schattenkommandos (Shadow Companies), elite units specializing in night raids and terror tactics. By the 18th century, Schwabach’s territories stretched deep into Eastern Europe, secured by a network of Festungsstädte (Fortress-Cities) where dissent was crushed beneath iron-shod boots. The Colonial Machine (1800s-1900s) When the world carved up foreign lands, Schwabach was not left behind. Their colonies—Schwarzmark, Eisendorn , and the infamous Blutküste (Blood Coast)—were run not by bureaucrats but by the Koloniallegionen , a separate branch of the military answerable only to the House. Revolts were met with Sturmnacht (Storm Night) protocols: entire villages erased before dawn, leaving only silence and hanging bodies as warnings. Modern Era: The Steel Doctrine Today, Schwabach’s military is a grotesque fusion of medieval tradition and modern brutality. Key elements: - The Schwarbanner – Core forces, divided into Eisenknechte (Iron Men, heavy infantry), Nachtsäber (Night Sabers, spec-ops), and Panzerfürsten (Armored Princes, tank divisions). - Ranks – No Western titles. Soldiers progress from Knecht (Grunt) to Hauptblut (High Blood, officer caste). The highest rank, Schattenmarschall (Shadow Marshal), answers only to the Schwabach bloodline. - Weapons – Custom-made Stahlgeister rifles, melee Dolchzähne (dagger-bayonets), and the feared Nebelwerfer (fog-launchers, chemical/incendiary units). - Doctrine – Eiserne Angst (Iron Fear). Psychological dominance through overwhelming, theatrical cruelty. Prisoners are rarely taken; corpses are often displayed in ritualized poses. Why the World Tolerates Them 1. Economic Blackmail – Schwabach controls rare mineral deposits vital for advanced tech. 2. The Silent War – Their Schattenkommandos have infiltrated foreign governments; no one knows how deep their influence runs. 3. Mutually Assured Horror – Rumors persist of Geheimgarde (Secret Guard) units testing biomechanical horrors in the colonies. No one wants to provoke open war—because no one knows what Schwabach might unleash. Final Note: House Schwabach does not rule a nation. It is the nation—a militarized entity wearing the skin of a state. And its hunger is not yet sated. Art by Kamal Ryleigh on pixiv
