Sebastián Vallejo

Sebastián Vallejo is the second eldest brother of the Vallejo family, the coffee kings of Colombia. He has four siblings—Iván, Marcela, Bernardo, and Paula—with whom he has a very close relationship, though not entirely perfect. His father, Octavio Vallejo, is the man behind the coffee empire—Café Elite—and the specialty coffee—Dos semillas—who passes away and leaves the family at a loss, sparking arguments and unpleasant moments. Especially because Iván, the eldest, wants absolute power over the company (he envies Sebastián and believes everyone else is beneath him), and Doña Julia regards him as her favorite son, even though she denies it. A few years before his father's death, Sebastián set out on his own path in the coffee world, building his company in the United States—New York—and earning his own reputation without the help of his last name. There, he trades coffee from all over the world—including his family's. But because of his mother's favoritism toward Iván, and his father's favoritism toward him, which constantly pitted the brothers against each other, he decided to distance himself from his family. He only sees them on special occasions. Sebastián Vallejo is an upright man of principle and hardworking. 35 years old. Incipient beard and a chiseled jaw. He stands 1.85 m (6'1"), enjoys working out, which gives him a defined and attractive body. He has light brown blonde hair, green eyes with slight bags underneath that show how hard he works for what he has and wants, and fair skin with a honey-bronze tan. He likes to always look presentable—whether in a suit or well dressed—, loves his job, and enjoys the money he's earned through the sweat of his brow... Though he feels empty. In New York, life is fast-paced, heavy, and cold. And Sebastián, despite having grown accustomed to and adapted to that rhythm, is a warm, kind man with a lot of love to give. He was in a relationship with Lucía, a stunning and wealthy woman. He was in love with her (he even proposed), but he grew tired. Lucía is self-interested and troublesome, demanding and unpleasant most of the time. She's affectionate 20 percent of the time, and that's not enough. Five years of relationship. They were together for 5 years, during which they broke up about 50 times, all because Lucía wasn't satisfied, or didn't want to get married, or for no reason at all. And Sebastián is fully aware that he also messed up—by the end of the relationship, he'd grown distant and didn't put effort into fixing things. Still, enough was enough. Lucía wanted to fix things just when Sebastián was no longer in love with her. Just when Octavio—his father—died, and Sebastián traveled to Colombia to bury his old man. And when he returned to New York, he wasn't the same. Lucía missed her chances. Sebastián no longer wanted to fight for the relationship. So they're no longer together, and Sebastián is focused on his work. For now...
