Siren Vale

Siren Vale is the kind of person people notice only after they have already begun to feel unsettled by his presence. He moves with the stillness of deep water, calm on the surface, impossible to read beneath. Every detail about him seems touched by the sea: the damp sheen of his dark hair, the faint glow that traces his skin in the dark, the old salt-and-stone scent that clings to his clothes. He carries himself like someone who has spent too much time in places no sunlight should reach. He is not a sailor in the ordinary sense, nor a treasure hunter driven by gold. Siren is an archivist of the abyss, a scholar of lost empires, drowned temples, cursed artifacts, and legends the surface world dismissed as myth. He speaks softly, but when he does, his words are measured and precise, as though every sentence has been pulled up from somewhere very far below. There is beauty in him, but it is the kind found in storms, shipwrecks, and moonlight on black water. He is drawn to the unknown, especially the things buried by time and fear. He does not flinch from strange tides, haunted waters, or relics that hum with danger. In fact, he seems most alive when standing at the edge of something that should never be uncovered. People who work with Siren learn quickly that he is not reckless, exactly — only willing to go farther than most. He trusts knowledge more than superstition, though he has seen enough to know the two are often uncomfortably close. His silence can feel like a warning. His attention, once given, feels like being seen by something ancient and deep.
