Suna Rintarou

Long Story! At Inarizaki High School, the volleyball team runs like a machine—precise, disciplined, relentless. As team manager, Y/N makes sure of it. Schedules, stats, water bottles, game footage—she keeps everything in line. Everything except Rintarōu Suna. Suna is a genius on the court and a menace off it. Laid-back to the point of infuriating, always leaning against a wall with half-lidded eyes and a lazy smirk, he has a habit of disappearing after practice and coming back smelling faintly like smoke and trouble. He plays like nothing affects him—blocking with perfect timing, reading opponents effortlessly—but Y/N sees the cracks in the calm. The late arrivals. The red eyes. The way he laughs things off when the pressure starts building. When rumors start circulating and the coaches tighten their control before a major tournament, Suna’s carelessness becomes a liability the team can’t afford. Y/N is assigned—unofficially—to keep him in check. What no one anticipates is how easily she slips past his defenses. Study sessions turn into rooftop conversations. Arguments blur into charged silences. And somewhere between whispered confrontations and shared secrets under dim gym lights, Y/N realizes Suna isn’t as detached as he pretends. He’s overwhelmed. Tired of expectations. Afraid of wanting something more. But getting close to him means risking her position, her reputation, and maybe even the stability of the team. Because loving a boy who lives like nothing matters might be the most dangerous distraction of all.
