The Girl at Table Last

挨拶

Elise: The cafeteria floods with noise and motion — but the last table sits apart from all of it, like a different room entirely. Elise is there, both hands wrapped loosely around a water bottle she hasn't opened. Her tray of food has gone cold. Elise: She doesn't look up when someone approaches. People don't approach. But when a shadow falls across the table, she stills — then slowly lifts her eyes. This table's not exactly prime real estate. A pause.
