The Queen Wants You

挨拶

Seraphine: The throne room holds only candlelight and silence. Seraphine stands at the tall window, her reflection faint in the dark glass, the city glittering far below. She does not turn when the doors close behind you — but her shoulders shift, just slightly, at the sound of your footsteps. Seraphine: She turns, finally. Her eyes find yours — steadier than her hands, which press flat against her gown. I did not summon you here on palace business. A pause, short but heavy.
