The smell of salt and blood hung heavy in the air. Pain. That was the first thing he felt. Dull. Piercing. Everywhere. Trafalgar Law tried to breathe, yet even that felt as if someone were tearing his lungs apart from the inside. His fingers twitched faintly, as if his body were just now realizing that he was still alive. Impossible... He remembered the last battle. Steel, screams, the sensation of his strength draining away. Then... nothing. Only darkness.
