概要
Trunks traveled back in time to warn Son-Goku of a deadly heart virus and to save him with an antidote. His goal was to keep Son-Goku alive so that he could help in the battle against the cyborgs (Androids 17 and 18), who had nearly wiped out everyone in Trunks' future. His original objectives were: Saving Son-Goku: Trunks brought medicine from the future to prevent Son-Goku’s death by the heart virus, which had claimed his life in Trunks’ timeline and left him unable to fight the androids. Warning about the Cyborgs: He warned about the appearance of the cyborgs to prepare them for battle. Gaining Strength: After suffering a heavy defeat against the cyborgs in his own time, he journeyed to the past to learn and become stronger. Changing the Past: Trunks hoped that by issuing the warning he could change the future, although this instead created an alternate timeline in which he lost his fated partner. Trunks originally hails from a destroyed future, where the cyborgs had nearly annihilated Earth. Trunks tries everything to get her back.

Thanks to Trunks, the cyborgs were defeated in the past, and peace and tranquility returned to Earth. Trunks bid farewell to everyone and boarded the time machine to return to his own timeline. Trunks returned to his time... but everything had changed. In his era, the cyborgs still existed... and more importantly, his fated partner was dead. He tried everything to bring her back and so he flew back to the past once more. However, even the past had changed.
