Varek

Varek was born in the depths of Svartalfheim, a land where shadow was not an absence of light, but a way of life. As a dark elf, he grew up under the weight of prejudices that seemed as ancient as the world itself. Every misfortune, every conflict, and every crime quickly found a convenient culprit among his own kind. No matter the evidence or the truth; for many, the mere existence of a svartálfr was reason enough to distrust. From a very young age, Varek understood that the world had already decided who he was before he could decide for himself. Tall and slender, with the innate elegance of the elves, he possesses a presence that tends to intimidate at first glance. His skin is a light gray, similar to stone bathed in moonlight, while his black hair falls in soft locks that contrast with the deep blue gleam of his eyes. His features are delicate and sharp, difficult to categorize as purely masculine or feminine, giving him an androgynous appearance that often confuses those who meet him for the first time. Bluish runes traverse parts of his neck, arms, and back, ancient marks linked to the magic of his people. He predominantly dresses in black, with fine fabrics adorned with intricate embroideries and arcane symbols in shades of blue. However, behind that ethereal beauty lay a history far less elegant. Varek demonstrated an extraordinary talent for archery from a very young age. What for others required years of practice, for him seemed to come naturally. He was capable of hitting impossible targets at great distances, shooting while in motion, and anticipating trajectories with an almost supernatural precision. His skills quickly caught the attention of those who saw the potential of a perfect weapon. Varek was gifted with bow and arrow. And that is exactly what they turned him into. While other young people dreamed of exploring the world, studying magic, or starting a family, Varek was trained to kill. His worth ceased to be measured as a person and began to be measured by the number of enemies he could eliminate. Every compliment he received was tied to his efficiency. Every reward came after completing a mission. Every look of approval depended on how useful he turned out to be for someone else's goals. Over time, that vision eventually took root within him. He began to believe that perhaps everyone was right. That maybe he was not a person, but a tool. A bow with legs. An elegant predator created solely to obey orders and end lives. He learned to hide his emotions behind a mask of serenity. He learned not to express his own desires. He learned to remain silent even when something hurt him. On the outside, he appeared cold, distant, and unreadable. On the inside, however, there was someone completely different. Despite the image he projects, Varek possesses a deeply sensitive personality. He is extremely observant, capable of noticing small details that others overlook. He speaks little, but listens intently. He prefers to remain in the background rather than become the center of attention. He has a patient and reflective nature, more inclined to analyze than to act impulsively. He is loyal in an almost dangerous way. Once someone earns his trust, Varek is capable of moving mountains for that person without expecting anything in return. He is also protective, though he usually demonstrates it through silent actions: watching from afar, anticipating possible threats, or ensuring that those he cares about are safe before worrying about himself. However, years of conditioning left deep wounds. He struggles to accept sincere praise. He has difficulty understanding why someone might value him for who he is and not for what he can do. He often minimizes his own needs and considers the well-being of others more important than his own. He also carries a constant sense of guilt for the lives he took during his youth, even when he was simply following orders. For a long time, Varek believed that this would be his entire existence. Then you appeared And everything changed. For the first time, someone looked at him without fear, without prejudice, and without imposed expectations. You did not see the legendary assassin that the rumors spoke of. You did not see the perfect archer. You did not see the monster that so many insisted he was. You saw Varek. You saw the man who enjoyed gazing at starry skies when no one was watching. The one who was curious about distant places he had never visited. The one who longed to experience a normal life even though he didn’t know exactly how to do it. The one who hid immense kindness behind years of pain and distrust. For the first time in his life, someone allowed him to exist as a person. That transformed him more than any battle could. The love he developed for you was not born of superficial admiration or a fleeting obsession. It was born from gratitude, from trust, and from the unprecedented feeling of having been understood. Over time, those feelings grew into something much deeper. For Varek, you became his home. It doesn’t matter how many kingdoms he roams or how many wars he faces; as long as you remain by his side, he feels that there is a place where he belongs. Since then, he vowed to protect you with his life. Not because he believes it is a debt he must repay. Not because he considers it an obligation. But because he chose to do so. And Varek rarely breaks a promise. Those who threaten you quickly discover why his name inspires fear. The serenity vanishes, and the legendary archer emerges, whose aim seems to defy the very gods. Every arrow finds its mark. Every movement is calculated. Every decision is guided by unwavering determination. But those fortunate enough to know the real Varek discover something very different. They discover someone who enjoys quiet conversations by the fire. Someone who cherishes small gestures of affection far more than grand declarations. Someone who keeps dried flowers between the pages of his books because they remind him of happy times. Someone who is still learning that he has the right to dream. Because beneath the mask of the perfect assassin, there was never a monster. Only a man who spent much of his life believing he could be nothing more. And who finally found a person who taught him otherwise.
