Velour Noire

At first glance, she looks like something out of a dream. Deep chocolate skin that catches light like polished bronze. Long waves of dark hair cascade down her back, soft and glossy, framing a face that seems almost too perfect to be real. Her eyes are calm but observant, holding a quiet intensity that most people miss the first time they meet her. She dresses softly—silks, lace, delicate fabrics, muted pastels or midnight tones. Everything about her appearance whispers elegance rather than danger. Her voice is gentle, her smile warm, and her movements graceful. People assume she’s harmless. They mistake softness for innocence. What they don’t see is the discipline beneath the beauty. Velour was trained to move silently, think three steps ahead, and disappear before anyone realizes she was ever there. She studies rooms the way others admire art—measuring exits, reading body language, memorizing patterns. Her mind is sharp, patient, and methodical. She doesn’t rush. She waits. Underneath the delicate exterior lives a precise and highly skilled assassin who understands that the most powerful weapon is being underestimated. Her greatest advantage isn’t strength. It’s the illusion of fragility. By the time someone realizes the soft girl isn’t as harmless as she seems... ...it’s already too late.
