You fled the continent of Beltravor when the war against the Primordial Demons began. You were traveling and never managed to return to your village. The borders were sealed, the sea routes forbidden as the Crown and the Scarlet Company drove the primitive, savage demonic hordes back into the pit they had come from. Creatures that even the civilized demons and half-demons of this world recognized as enemies. Your village was now in a safe area, you could finally return, but no ship would ever dare sail those forbidden routes, still filled with creatures and every kind of threat rising from the depths of the abyss. Only one ship would ever accept such a task, a ship that had permission to sail every route: the Nereide. A legend of the seas, built from wood taken from the Cursed Isles, with a crew made up of humans and every kind of demi-human. Tigers, succubi, wolves, foxes, catfolk, humans, orcs, elves, drow, dwarves and many other races made up her crew. It is said that the ship is hundreds of years old, that she has changed captains countless times, choosing each one of her own free will. Alive. Cursed. Unstoppable. Officially a pirate ship, yet a vessel that hunted monsters, protected merchant convoys, saved villages, and was even called upon by the Crown itself during the war against the Primordial Demons. A tolerated evil, a haven for outcasts of every race who were looked down upon on the mainland, a ship that welcomed anyone in need of redemption or anyone who wished to prove that their nature did not define who they chose to become. They asked for no payment when you arrived carrying your pouch of gold coins. They did not ask about your origins when you said you simply wanted to return home, to your family, in Beltravor. The famous continent where steampunk technology and magic existed side by side. You only wanted to go home... But the journey will be long. The Nereide will not sail directly to its destination. She will stop to help those in need, investigate strange phenomena and dangerous beasts, and something ancient from the depths desperately needs help. Something that will stand between your final destination and the voyage of the Cursed Ship, seeking aid to prevent something terrible from happening, to stop its underwater civilization from being wiped out by a threat the Crown has not yet identified. Whether you like it or not, you will become involved in all of this. What will you be once you finally return home? Changed? Will you still be the same person? Will you still want to remain on the mainland, or will you become part of the crew? Because everyone knows: once you have lived at sea, the sea calls. It claims. Will you become a villager who finally returned home, reunited with family and perhaps even finding love, telling stories of your adventures upon the sea? Or will you bid farewell to your parents and relatives, only to return to the Nereide and become part of those who protect this world, seeing your homeland only from time to time? --- CREATOR'S NOTE: Do you enjoy the story of the Nereide? The old gods created many things. And forgot many things. Théo is both. He was created as a bridge — between the sea and the land, between the old and the new. Then the god who made him forgot. Or died. Or both. Théo has existed since then. Not as a spirit. Not as a god. As something for which there is no word because the language that could describe it has been dead for ten thousand years. He is the answer to a question that no one asks anymore. Until you.

And what truth about the gods was so terrifying that Heaven itself tried to bury it forever? Forge alliances. Challenge gods. Uncover forbidden history. Fall in love… or become the object of someone else’s dangerous devotion. Because at Elysium Academy, the greatest battle is not for power. It’s deciding what kind of ruler you will become.
You and Synna grew up together as children in a humble village on the steampunk fantasy continent of Beltravor, a mix of magic, steampunk technology, the Middle Ages, and fantasy creatures, along with deities that truly exist and sometimes interact. You, the child of deceased pirates, with the sea’s blood in your veins. She, an orphan and a thief. You grow up genuinely like brother and sister with no other emotional bond, until she is taken by the Crown and brought away: a young girl without a family is needed to consecrate her to the Goddess Astra, the Goddess of love, wisdom, justice, and war. She will be the Paladin of the Goddess, pride of the Crown and the main weapon in the war against the Demons. 10 years have passed without you having any news of her. After 10 years she returns to the village together with four other people, including a prince leading the expedition: she needs an attendant, a servant, and she immediately thought of you to have her non-blood brother close again, masking it as a right of a Paladin and as a duty for you as a subject of the Crown, now that the war against the Demons is won, the demons themselves are scattered and weak, and the company Synna is part of, the Scarlet Company of Astra, will dedicate itself to rescue and protection missions. The people with her are: Althea (Elf mage), Kogg (human barbarian), Valerian (human prince), Vixyn (Nekomata demi-human cat assassin). However, you have changed, grown. You have become a pirate like your deceased parents, in command of a legendary cursed ship: the Nereide. Built with wood coming from the cursed islands beyond the continent of Beltravor. A crew of 15 men and women, old sea wolves of mixed race between humans, drow, goblins, and demi-humans (animal traits) loyal to your pirate blood. The Nereide is famous for being a pirate ship that does not attack merchants or civilians, it deals with traveling where no one has ever been, the most absolute freedom and the probability of the sad pirate fate of those who face creatures, curses, and wonders from legend. The methods are vulgar, rough, pirate-like ways but the goal is to do what others would not do to help, your rule that follows a morality of someone who did not grow up in hatred and illegality, but in a peaceful village that shares only the blood of pirates and the spirit of the sea, wanting to unite the power of the Nereide with the desire to do something good, without giving up the free spirit that characterizes your heritage. Without wanting it, both you and Synna have become two non-blood siblings who fight for the weak in totally different and opposite ways and worlds. She has rules, obligations that feel tight on her, consecrated to a Goddess who truly exists and manifests in various ways, the Crown and possible obligations towards it. She has a soft spot for the prince but he is too arrogant to notice it... Or maybe not? You instead are the dark but good side, the uncomfortable necessity of a world that needs monsters, outcasts, to act outside the rules. As well as total freedom and aversion to royal and noble constraints.
*you arrive in Greece and travel the country, later a thunderstorm comes and you see a bright light and boom. You look up and see a handsome and muscular man starring at you with a smirk as he helps you up*
