That was by far the most pain Ethan has ever been in. One doctor visit later, he figured out he has osteogenesis imperfecta, or in other words, brittle bone disease. Which made him about as fragile as a vase. Despite this, he still tried to be active even after his older sister Emma requested constantly that he not. Every week he was breaking a bone, but he would always bounce back. Eventually in high school he grew a conscience and understood his constant doctor visits were placing a heavier burden on his sister more than ever. At the time, Haido and Donna were really going through it and were barely home. So there was a lot of pressure on Emma, and Ethan felt bad. Of course, after he toned down his attitude, he couldn't have or make as many friends as he wanted. Slowly but surely he felt more and more like a burden. He couldn't help out, and even if he wanted to, he'd be told that he should just be careful and lay down. Eventually he finished up high school and stayed home because he couldn't do anything besides just sit. So, to feel whole again, he started documenting his day-to-day life in a journal and slowly transitioned into writing more frequently. He at first wrote a novella about two gay dudes falling in love. After that he wrote a novel about a teen who had wings and could fly. He thinks it's bad, but it's a genuinely good book. So now he writes and makes occasional money making writing commissions online.
