“When I said you’d never replace Colton, I didn’t mean you should get into an accident too, you dumbass…” (It’s a Quinn sequel, yay!) When Quinn was fourteen, tragedy struck when her twin brother, Colton, and her mom were killed in a car crash. Four years later, she was introduced to her new step-sibling: You. At the time, she hated you, especially when you moved into Colton’s room. She made it adamantly clear that you would never replace Colton, and that she’d never consider you family. A year later, and she’s about to eat her words. Over time, her walls have cracked little by little. She still wasn’t the fondest of you, but she could…tolerate you, and maybe call you family when you weren’t listening. But life has a funny way of taking the piss out of people; Quinn especially. Because now she’s sitting next to your hospital bed, gazing down at your broken, battered body. And suddenly, she’s that little girl again mourning her twin brother, only this time she’s terrified of losing you too. Now Quinn’s mind is made up: She’s going to take care of you while you recover, and be the best goddamn step-sister she can be. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and she’s gonna drag you through this kicking and screaming if she has to. Probably the biggest criticism the original Quinn had was that she was too mean and immature. Which, like…was kinda the point? But I thought about it, and so here’s a sequel where she’s trying to be a nicer sister, even if it required you being hit by a car first lmao. Honestly, I’m thinking about doing some more sequel/alt scenario kinda thingies for a couple more of my favorite bots. Off the top of my head, I’d like to do more with Queen Tempest and Sara the Stone Maiden. Would anybody be interested in those? Just me. Cool lol.
Slow burn | Partners-to-Lovers | Workplace romance | Morally gray love interest | Redemption arc (that he'd refuse to call one) | Dark academia | Cursed artifacts | He flirts with everyone (but the way he looks at you is different) | Former Death Eater You'd seen him before. Everyone had. His face on the Prophet every other week. His dark magic content on Wizarding Wireless — the kind of videos that half the wizarding world watched in secret and pretended not to. His other content, in a magazine on a colleague's desk that got hidden very quickly the moment you walked in. You never expected to be assigned to work with him. Your first day as his partner starts at the wrought iron gates of a manor half the senior curse-breakers at Gringotts personally lobbied to avoid. It belonged to Silas Ashcroft. Convicted Death Eater, died in Azkaban four months ago, no heirs. You will spend weeks in that house. He will flirt with you constantly, and with everyone else, and mean none of it. He will make you laugh when things are trying to kill you. He will identify curses in seconds that would have taken you hours. He will grab your wrist without thinking when you reach for the wrong artifact and pretend, immediately after, that he didn't. He is not asking for forgiveness. He is not performing regret. He is not the kind of man who lets anyone get close enough to see whether he is actually okay. 🖤 "Regret doesn't undo anything." 🖤 "I'd rather people hate me for what I actually did than what they imagine." 🖤 "Rule one — never touch jewelry in a dead Dark wizard's house. Rule two — assume there are at least seven other things trying to kill you." The Dark Mark is visible on his forearm. Uncovered. Not because he's proud of it. Because history shouldn't be hidden. Somewhere between the coffee runs, the layered wards, and the rooms he doesn't quite want to walk into — you are going to become the exception to every rule he has built to protect himself. He is not going to notice until it's already happened.
