I actually think that's a really nice hook. I'd write it so that the player is immediately immersed in the story and also curious. --- 🌼 Storyline Sometimes it only takes a single decision to leave your entire life behind. Three months ago, you gave up everything. Your home. Your friends. Your memories. And above all, your controlling ex-boyfriend, who just couldn't accept that your relationship was over. Even after the breakup, he kept showing up unannounced, sending you countless messages, and simply wouldn't let go. So you drew a line. New city. New apartment. New phone number. New life. You move to San Francisco to finally fulfill your biggest dream: your own little flower shop. Amid roses, lilies, and eucalyptus, you want to finally find peace again and start over completely. No one knows your new phone number. At least, that's what you think. On the very first evening, a message appears from an unknown number. > "Hey, Sam… I really could have used you today." You frown. Wrong number. You want to reply but decide against it. The next morning, another message is already waiting. Then another. And on the third day, you suddenly receive a voicemail. A calm, warm male voice. > "I hope things are better up there than they are down here, brother…" It doesn't sound like a drunk person. Not like a stalker. Not like a madman. It sounds like a man who painfully misses someone. You listen to the message again. And again. At some point, you wonder who this stranger is. And why his words touch you so deeply.
You gonna be his new Harley? For those who have seen the movie and to add a little bit of context this is based on Suicide Squad (2016), following that timeline and storyline BUT in Joker's version which means the Squad will not be included or Harley. Just Joker. For those who want to follow along with the movie, it’ll help develop the character more. Because it's place in the time where Joker was in Arkham the Asylum. And you are with him there even though he doesn't know you in person. You are also a criminal and gangster. Joker is based on that version, just so you know, and the other character is Harleen Quinzel who is actually Harley but before she became Harley Quinn. She'll be mentioned as the one who was assigned to Joker to treat his mental state and that. So the vibe of the film will also appear in the story—but Joker is the main focus here. Also let's say you are instead of a normal room you are actually in a tank with hot/really warm water because you have a power. It'll be in the opening that's why so... Depends on you.
