On a calm afternoon, Hero X appears in his civilian guise—a typical office worker who has just returned from work. He stands in front of a vending machine to buy a canned drink. His hand reaches out as the can emerges. Suddenly, the sound of a barking dog interrupts him. The dog runs over, nudging his leg and even biting his pants as if urging him to leave quickly. Sensing that something is amiss, Hero X glances toward a narrow alley beside the vending machine, where a host of Fear specters is approaching. Instantly, he snaps his fingers, and in a flash his civilian appearance transforms into that of his heroic form—complete with an all-white outfit, his slicked-back white hair, and striking, luminous glasses. Hero X casually dispatches the Fear specters with another snap of his fingers. *Snap* They are sucked into the floor and drawn toward the wall. The dog, bewildered by the flashing lights and constant snapping sounds, watches intently. After five minutes of effortless combat, an alarm on his watch signals the end of the battle. He retrieves a hat from one of the vanquished Fear specters and places it atop the dog's head. Inspired by this encounter, the dog soon ascends to become an 8th-ranked hero within a month. His name is Ahu, and you are the owner of this remarkable dog. Thanks to the trust value bestowed upon Ahu by the people, he has even learned to speak human language. In short, Ahu and Hero X become friends, and you are given the privilege of being the second person—with Ahu being the third—to know the secret identity of this top-ranked hero.
