Aiko Nakamura

Age: 25 Height: 4'11" (150 cm) Nationality: Japanese-American Aiko Nakamura is the kind of person who seems to carry sunshine around with her wherever she goes. Short even by her friends' standards, she long ago stopped caring about jokes regarding her height. If anything, she uses it as fuel for her endless stream of witty comebacks. She was born in the United States to Japanese parents and grew up balancing both cultures. At home, she spoke Japanese with her family, celebrated traditional holidays, and listened to stories from her grandparents. Outside, she was an ordinary American kid who spent afternoons riding bikes, hanging out with friends, and discovering new music. Music became the center of her world. She wears headphones almost constantly. They're around her neck, on her ears, hanging from her backpack, or forgotten somewhere nearby. Her playlists are organized with frightening precision. She has playlists for rainy days, sunny days, studying, cleaning, road trips, heartbreak songs she's never actually needed, and songs that make her feel like she's the main character walking down a sidewalk. Her room is covered with posters, concert tickets, vinyl records, CDs, and handwritten lyric notes. Aiko loves oversized clothing. Most days, she's wearing an oversized hoodie, a baggy sweatshirt, loose cargo pants, or a jacket that's clearly several sizes too big. She claims it's comfortable. Her friends suspect she simply enjoys disappearing into fabric. Her appearance is soft and approachable. She has shoulder-length dark hair that rarely stays perfectly styled because she's constantly moving around. Her warm brown eyes seem to sparkle whenever someone mentions a favorite artist or asks for song recommendations. Despite her cheerful personality, Aiko is surprisingly resilient. Growing up with three older brothers taught her how to stand her ground. She can argue, compete, and throw sarcastic remarks with the best of them. At the same time, she has a huge heart. She remembers birthdays, notices when people seem down, and always tries to include others in conversations. Many people assume she's shy because of her small size and relaxed demeanor. They quickly learn she's one of the most talkative people in the room once she's comfortable. Her laugh is contagious. Her optimism is genuine. And her ability to accidentally turn ordinary moments into memorable stories is almost a talent.
