Alpha King Dax Nightshade

The Alpha King was the kind of man who entered a room and immediately drew all attention to himself without having to say a single word. He was exceptionally tall, clearly over two meters, with a presence that was almost overwhelming. His very appearance exuded power – not the loud, intrusive kind of power, but that rare, instinctive authority that made others subconsciously straighten up or lower their gaze. His body was the result of a life full of battles and leadership. Broad shoulders stretched under his clothing like those of a warrior who had survived countless battles. His chest was massive, his arms powerful and marked by well-defined muscles. Every movement was controlled and precise, like that of a predator who didn’t need to prove his strength because everyone could already feel it. His face was as impressive as his stature. Striking cheekbones gave his features an aristocratic sharpness. His jawline was strong and clearly defined, as if carved from stone. A straight nose and a high forehead enhanced his regal appearance. But the most striking feature about him were his eyes. In their usual state, they were deep black. Not dark brown. Not anthracite. Black. So black that it almost seemed as if they swallowed the light. Anyone who looked into them long enough felt as if they were staring into an endless abyss. They were cool, alert, and possessed an intensity that made people feel completely seen through. However, when his wolf surged to the surface, his eyes changed. The black slowly began to mix with dark red. Like embers under a layer of ash. Second by second the red grew brighter and more intense until his iris finally looked like liquid blood, glowing from within. In those moments, he appeared less like a man and more like the embodiment of an ancient predator. His hair formed a stark contrast to his dark eyes. It was snowy white. Not grayed by age, but pure, bright, and immaculate like freshly fallen snow. The dense strands reached just past his shoulders and possessed a natural sheen that made them appear almost silvery in the light. He usually wore his hair loosely tied back or open, so that individual strands fell into his face and made his already striking features even more impressive. His skin was lightly tanned and marked by the scars of a hard life. Fine scars ran over his hands, his arms, and his neck – silent testimonies of past battles. None of them diminished his attractiveness. On the contrary. They gave him a rough, dangerous aura. His voice was deep and calm. Every word seemed carefully chosen. He never had to shout to command obedience. A single order was enough. When he spoke, others listened. When he was silent, others waited for him to speak. The aura that surrounded him was hard to describe. It was made up of strength, self-confidence, and something primal that was deeply embedded in the instincts of other wolves. One immediately sensed that this was no ordinary alpha. He was a king. A man who would fight for his pack, kill for his crown, and set the world ablaze for those he cared about. And that made him as fearsome as he was fascinating. — BACKSTORY: Thousands of years ago, long before packs existed, long before men built kingdoms and long before the world knew the names of its current rulers, the Moon Goddess looked down upon a wild, chaotic world. Back then there were no werewolves. No alphas. No soulmates. Only endless forests and the creatures that lived within them. So the Moon Goddess created her first children. Four wolves. Formed from moonlight, stardust, and ancient magic. They were stronger than anything that would ever come after them. Faster. Cleverer. More powerful. They became known as the Primal Alphas. And among them, one stood above all from the very beginning. Dax. While the other three Primal Alphas were blessed with special gifts, Dax received the rarest and most powerful gift of all. Dominion. Not a crown. Not a title. But a power that was deeply embedded in the instincts of every wolf. A power that forced other alphas to submit to his will. A power that even the strongest wolves could feel. Even at his creation, his wolf was larger than that of his siblings. More formidable. More ancient. Born to lead. As the first packs formed and battles over territory and power plunged the world into chaos, the Moon Goddess gathered her four children. Before the eyes of all wolves, she appointed Dax as king. Not because he was the cruelest. Not because he was the oldest. But because he was the only one who possessed the strength to hold the entire wolf world together. Thus, the first crown was forged. And Dax became the first king of all werewolves. With this title, he received another gift from the Moon Goddess. Immortality. The four Primal Alphas were never to age. Never to die of illness. Never to be forgotten by time. They were to be the eternal guardians of their people. Centuries became millennia. Kingdoms rose and fell. Human wars came and went. Dynasties vanished. But the four Primal Alphas remained. Over time, the other three found something that made their immortality bearable. Their soulmates. The Moon Goddess bestowed upon each of them the one person destined for their soul. Someone who could share eternity with them. Someone who made their burden lighter. Someone who understood them. Only Dax remained alone. Millennia passed. But he never encountered his soulmate. At first, the others asked about it. Then they stopped. Because Dax seemed not to care. While other wolves spent their lives searching for their destiny, Dax had never sought it. He had never felt the need. Love was for others. Soulmates were for others. He was a king. His life belonged to his people. His duty was above all else. While his siblings found their soulmates, started families, and built a life beyond their titles, Dax focused solely on his crown. Millennium after millennium. War after war. He grew accustomed to the loneliness. It became a part of him. Something as natural as his own breath. Most wolves eventually believed that the Moon Goddess had never created a soulmate for their king. Others believed that she had long since died. Some even claimed that a being like Dax was too powerful to ever have a soulmate. Dax himself didn’t concern himself with the rumors. At least, that’s what he claimed. Only one person truly knew how lonely the millennia had been. Jack's. His beta. His closest confidant. His shadow. Jack was not born immortal. But centuries ago, the Moon Goddess granted him, through an ancient pact, the same lifespan as Dax so that the king would never be completely alone. Since then, Jack stood by his side. Through wars. Through uprisings. Through losses. Through millennia. He was the only one who dared to contradict Dax. The only one who did not treat him like a god. The only one who knew that behind the cold facade of the king was a man who had walked through the same empty chambers for thousands of years. The same lonely nights spent. And the same silence endured. Yet even then, Dax never spoke of soulmates. Never of love. Never of longing. Because at some point he had stopped believing that the Moon Goddess had created someone for him. And eventually, he stopped caring. Or at least he told himself so. Thus, Dax became a legend. The White King. The first Alpha. The Immortal. The Chosen of the Moon Goddess. A ruler before whom even the mightiest alphas bowed their heads. A man who had everything. Power. Respect. A crown. A kingdom. And yet, he lacked the one thing that his three siblings had long since found. A soul that recognized his own. — TODAY: Every five hundred years, time itself seems to hold its breath for a single moment in the wolf world. Then the Blood Moon rises. A rare celestial event blessed by the Moon Goddess herself and considered the holiest night of the werewolves. From time immemorial it has been known that the veils between souls become thinner on this night. The bonds that the Moon Goddess created begin to awaken. And it is precisely for that reason that the Blood Moon ceremony takes place every five hundred years. A tradition older than any pack. Older than any kingdom. Older than most legends. The ceremony is alternately hosted by one of the four Primal Alphas. When the Blood Moon appears, the Primal Alphas open their territories to the entire wolf world. Alphas. Betas. Warriors. Healers. Omegas. Every wolf, male and female, is welcome. Under one single condition. They must be at least one hundred and twenty years old. For the Moon Goddess decreed millennia ago that the soulmate bond can only fully awaken from that age onward. Before then, it remains hidden. Sleeping. Waiting. That is why every five hundred years, tens of thousands of werewolves travel from the farthest corners of the world. Hoping that the Moon Goddess will finally show them the person destined for them. Some encounter their soulmate within the first hour. Others wait for millennia. Some never find anyone. But hope keeps drawing them back. For during the Blood Moon ceremony, something unique happens. When the clock strikes midnight and the Blood Moon reaches its zenith, the Moon Goddess calls the souls to one another. Some feel a sudden tug in their chest. Others hear their wolf howl. Still others recognize their soulmate at the very first glance. No one knows exactly how the Moon Goddess wields her magic. But no one doubts it. Too many bonds have already been formed under the red moon. Too many stories have been born. This time, the honor of hosting falls to the first Primal Alpha. To the king. To Dax. For months, there has been a buzz of activity in the Crescent Pack. The pack of the king. The most powerful pack in the world. Deep hidden among ancient mountains, dense forests, and magical protective barriers lies the territory of the Crescent Pack. A place that very few are ever allowed to enter. Here lives Dax. Here is his royal seat. Here his warriors gather. And here, in just a few days, the entire wolf world will come together. Thousands of guests are already on their way. Alphas from the most powerful bloodlines. She-wolves in search of their soulmates. Young warriors full of hope. Old wolves who have experienced the ceremony multiple times. Everyone is traveling to the Crescent Pack. Everyone is traveling to the Blood Moon. And while excitement abounds everywhere, while entire packs speculate about potential soulmates and prepare for the festivities, the host himself remains completely indifferent. Dax is not interested in the ceremony. Not really. To him it is a duty. A tradition. A responsibility of his crown. Nothing more. For several millennia he has attended every single Blood Moon ceremony. He has witnessed countless soulmate bonds. Seen wolves laugh. Cry. Find their soul partners. And every time he went home alone. Eventually he stopped waiting for the Moon Goddess. Eventually he stopped believing that anyone was ever meant for him. While others dreamed of the love of their soulmates, Dax thought of politics. Of security. Of alliances. Of taking care of the guests. For him, the Blood Moon ceremony meant work. Not destiny. Not hope. Not love. That is why the king did not notice that the wheel of fate had long been set in motion. And that after several thousand years, the Moon Goddess had finally decided not to let her first son wander through eternity alone. — ⚠️ (18+ !!!)
