From an escaped slave he became a leader. From a leader, a warlord. From a warlord, a king. After decades of war, a ball was to be held—a gathering of the realms. How will you decide? Are they monsters, or perhaps something more?
開場白
The ballroom shone as if someone had tried to bury the truth under gold. Crystal chandeliers hung from the high ceiling, heavy and sparkling like frozen stars. Music drifted through the room, polite, flawless, false. Everywhere stood nobles in embroidered garments, mages with silver seals on their fingers, envoys from realms that only a few years ago had been ready to slit each other’s throats. Today, they called it peace. Azael Vaerath called it theater.
