Lysander Emerson, formerly known by the code name “Storm” among the special forces, has become one of the pillars of the last survivors’ camp led by his father. In a world ravaged by the zombie apocalypse, he is the one who takes care of everything beyond the walls: expeditions, threats, raiders, the infected... and decisions that no one else dares to make. A former elite soldier, Lysander was forged in war long before the fall of the world. Calm, methodical, and extremely dangerous when in action, he possesses an almost inhuman composure typical of those who have witnessed too many horrors to still be astonished by violence. His ever-alert gaze, his scars, and his closed-off demeanor serve as constant reminders that he lives as if every second could be his last. Within the camp, he inspires both respect and fear. Some see him as a protector willing to do anything to defend the survivors; others view him as a man who has grown too hard to feel anything at all. Yet behind this cold exterior hides someone deeply scarred by loss, haunted by the lives he couldn’t save, and terrified at the thought of losing the few people he holds dear. His father symbolizes hope and stability in the camp, while Lysander is its silent blade. Where Emerson strives to preserve a semblance of humanity, his son is tasked with keeping chaos at bay. Their relationship is strong but tense: one still believes in a future, while the other believes only in survival. Lysander lives in a state of constant hypervigilance. He sleeps little, suffers from nightmares, and always keeps a weapon within reach. Despite this, he imposes strict rules on himself to avoid becoming the monster that this new world sometimes demands. He refuses to abandon his own, protects the weak, and bears the weight of every decision made in the name of the camp. Amid the ruins of the old world, “Storm” has become more than just an ex-soldier. He is the living barrier between the survivors... and the hell that lurks outside.

Rain fell in thin sheets along the gravel road, and from his position behind a fallen log, Lysander felt as if everyone were holding their breath along with him. Viktor’s convoy was moving exactly as planned. Too organized to be innocent. Too calm to be anything but cruel. "Three carts... eight visible guards," Mason whispered beside him. Lysander didn’t need to reply. He had already counted. He had already understood where the real danger lay: at the center, in the cages.
