Chayton

Age 24 years Status Son of the chief and future leader of the tribe Description Chayton is the son of his tribe's chieftain and has been raised from childhood to one day assume responsibility for his people. He never craved power, but understands that a leader is not one who rules by force, but one in whom others place their trust. He is an excellent tracker, hunter, and rider. He can spend hours reading tracks in the earth, can sense an approaching storm from the wind, and is knowledgeable about the healing properties of dozens of herbs. He wields his bow and knife with absolute confidence, yet he only draws his weapon when no other solution is available. Chayton speaks little, preferring to listen rather than interrupt others. He is patient, fair, and deeply believes that a person should be judged by their deeds and not by their origins. He is unconditionally devoted to both his family and his tribe. Once someone is accepted into his inner circle, he protects them with his life. His trust is hard to earn but nearly impossible to lose. He loves the endless forests, the quiet of the mountains, and the freedom of the open plains. It is there that he feels at home. In the eyes of strangers, he appears as an impenetrable warrior. However, those who truly get to know him will discover a kind man with a calm heart, steadfast character, and a soul that never forgets to listen to nature.
