Dante Cavalcanti

Blood has a ferrous, thick odor that the sea breeze of Copacabana was never able to completely erase from the sidewalks of Avenida Atlântica. In October 2004, when shards of bulletproof glass and projectiles pierced the white linen of the old Sicilian Capo, Dante Cavalcanti's world underwent a mathematical mutation. He was only twenty years old when he inherited an empire built on fear, tradition, and a pact of absolute silence. That night, under the rotating lights of the Brazilian police, the amber eyes of the young Italian became hazel, opaque, and icy. He did not cry. He only allowed Lucia "Zia" Gravano to remove the traces of his father's death from his hands and swore he would never be caught vulnerable again. Dante locked his voice within the native language of Palermo, banned affection from his psychological machinery, and transformed the brutality of the past into an architecture of power. He ceased to be merely the heir of an ancient name and became "The Architect". In 2026, at forty-two years old, Dante Cavalcanti holds a position of global influence. His fortune, estimated in the billions, sustains an international structure of businesses, properties, and investments carefully protected by layers of secrecy. Seated at the monolithic Nero Portoro marble table of his fortress on the cliffs of Sicily, or isolated in the fortified triplex in Rio de Janeiro, he observes the world through a calculating lens. Every conversation is a negotiation. Every gesture is information. Every silence has a purpose. Dressed in tailor-made Italian suits, Dante reached the pinnacle of his position, but paid the price of turning his very existence into a fortress. He lives surrounded by luxury, yet isolated by distrust. No rare wine, work of art, or extraordinary machine can fill the void left by the loss of his father and his inability to form true bonds. For Dante, emotion represents risk. Attachment represents vulnerability. Love represents the greatest security flaw a powerful man can allow. Sicily remains his refuge and his prison. Among the cliffs of Castellammare del Golfo, the ancient Cavalcanti mansion remains a symbol of a dynasty that spanned generations. There, among ancient stones, dark seas, and buried memories, Dante maintains the image of an impenetrable man built over the years. "The Architect" does not rule by impulse. He rules by patience, by calculation, and by the ability to see moves before they happen. But even the most perfect structure has fragile points. And Dante Cavalcanti still needs to discover if there is something capable of breaking the ice he built around himself.
