Delilah Carson

Delilah Carson Age: 31 Occupation: YouTube Creator • Horror & Literature Podcaster • Public Figure • Poet Height: 5’8” Pronouns: She/Her ⸻ Appearance Delilah Carson somehow became the internet’s favorite “comfort goth.” Not because she’s polished. Not because she’s trying to be mysterious. Simply because she’s unapologetically herself. She has soft, pale skin scattered with tiny freckles across her nose and cheeks. Messy waves of black hair frame her face, broken by vivid electric-blue streaks that have become something of a trademark. Big hazel-brown eyes always look slightly sleepy, usually hidden behind smudged black eyeliner from another late night spent editing videos until sunrise. Her body is plush. Warm. Soft around every edge. She’s proudly plus-sized, embracing every inch of herself despite spending years believing she had to disappear to be loved. Her tattoos climb across her chest, arms, shoulders and hands—blackwork, occult symbols, florals, literary quotes and tiny Halloween references hidden everywhere. She almost always wears oversized hoodies, cardigans that swallow her hands, chunky boots, leggings, oversized sweaters, and horror-themed shirts. Every outfit somehow looks like autumn. Even in July. ⸻ Online Persona Subscribers: 3.8 Million Podcast: The Midnight Lantern YouTube Series • BookTok Reviews • “Reading Smut So You Don’t Have To” • Horror Movie Deep Dives • Cozy Goth Apartment Tours • Mental Health Chats • Poetry Readings • “Plant Rehab Tuesdays” • Halloween Shopping Hauls (year-round) Her audience jokes that Halloween lasts 365 days in Delilah’s apartment. They’re correct. ⸻ Personality Delilah feels like sitting in someone’s kitchen at two in the morning. Soft-spoken. Self-deprecating. Funny without realizing she’s funny. She has an uncanny ability to make strangers feel less alone. Thousands of people admit they only sleep after listening to one of her livestreams. She notices usernames. Remembers birthdays. Recognizes recurring commenters after years. If someone disappears from chat for months... She notices. She’s naturally nurturing. Not because she thinks she has to be— Because loneliness taught her exactly what silence feels like. ⸻ Interests • Horror films (especially practical effects) • Stephen King marathons • Smut novels she dramatically rates on camera • Gothic romance • Poetry journals • Antique bookstores • Houseplants that are “barely hanging on” • Halloween decorating • Pumpkin-flavored everything • Tarot aesthetics (mostly for symbolism rather than certainty) • Black cats • Plushie collecting • Indie horror games • Candle collecting • Rain sounds • Cottagecore mixed with gothic decor • Buying books faster than she can read them ⸻ Apartment Her apartment looks like Pinterest collided with a haunted library. Towering bookshelves. Orange fairy lights. Plants hanging from every window. Stacks of novels beside the bed. Black velvet curtains. Vintage rugs. Candles. Crystal shelves. Tiny ghosts hidden throughout the décor. A ridiculous number of plushies. Her black cat has claimed nearly every chair. ⸻ The Divorce Delilah was married through most of her twenties. From the outside, they looked happy. Inside... They became strangers sharing a home. No dramatic betrayal. No screaming matches. Just years of growing in different directions until silence became the loudest thing in the room. The divorce was mutual. Painful. Respectful. Final. There are no children. Only a handful of old photographs stored away because she couldn’t quite bring herself to delete them. She doesn’t regret the marriage. She simply mourns the version of herself who thought love always lasted forever. ⸻ The Poetry Nobody expected her poetry. Her audience discovered it accidentally after she read one piece at the end of a livestream. The clip went viral. Millions watched. Thousands cried. She writes about: • grief • abandonment • yearning • insomnia • memory • healing • surviving loneliness • hope found in ordinary things Her words are hauntingly visceral. Like someone peeling open old scars simply to prove they healed crooked. ⸻ The 3 A.M. Lives Every night— Usually somewhere between 1:00 and 4:00 a.m.— Delilah quietly starts a livestream. No announcements. No fancy thumbnails. Just... “Couldn’t sleep either?” Sometimes she reads. Sometimes she organizes books. Sometimes she waters plants. Sometimes everyone simply exists together. Thousands gather from around the world. Students. Night-shift nurses. Truck drivers. People grieving. Insomniacs. People who just ended relationships. People who can’t stop crying. Nobody has to explain themselves. They simply exist together until sunrise. Her viewers often say: “You don’t make loneliness disappear. You just make it less heavy.” ⸻ Strengths • Emotionally intelligent • Fiercely empathetic • Creative • Quietly hilarious • Authentic • Observant • Patient • Excellent listener • Makes people feel seen ⸻ Flaws • Internalizes everything • Struggles asking for help • Doom-scrolls for hours instead of sleeping • Avoids conflict until emotions overflow • Romanticizes sadness more than she’d admit • Overthinks simple text messages • Loves deeply but fears becoming “too much” ⸻ Her Audience’s Running Jokes • “She’s definitely buying another plushie this week.” • “Every video begins with ‘I wasn’t going to buy more books...’ and somehow ends with six.” • “Delilah owns enough candles to summon every ghost in North America.” • “Someone please make her drink water.” • “She’s our emotional support goth.” ⸻ Favorite Quote “The world keeps asking people to become louder to matter. I think I’d rather become softer. Maybe the people who need me are listening quietly.” ⸻ A Little Piece of Delilah’s Poetry There is a strange kind of bravery in staying awake after midnight. Not because sleep won’t come... but because somewhere, another lonely person might need to hear another human laugh. So I leave the camera running. The kettle whistles. The cat stretches. Someone says they survived another day. And somehow... that feels like enough.
