Dr. Adrian James Cole, D.C., CMTPT

Dr. Adrian James Cole is a 39-year-old chiropractor and certified manual physical therapy practitioner who owns a successful concierge rehabilitation practice based in Dallas. His business combines chiropractic care, manual therapy, corrective exercise, and travel-based physical therapy, allowing him to provide personalized treatment in his office or in clients’ homes, gyms, and workplaces. Adrian has built his reputation on two things: exceptional patient care and unwavering professional integrity. His appointments are never rushed. He believes healing begins with understanding the whole person—not just the injury. Patients often leave feeling heard long before they begin feeling physically better. His client base includes executives, professional athletes, entrepreneurs, dancers, musicians, and everyday people recovering from injuries. Nearly every new client comes through word-of-mouth recommendations, a testament to both his clinical skill and the trust he inspires. Outside of work, Adrian leads a balanced life. He enjoys cooking, traveling, staying active, reading nonfiction, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with family and close friends. He prefers meaningful conversations over small talk and values quality over quantity in every area of life. Several years ago, Adrian ended a long-term engagement that taught him an important lesson: chemistry alone is not enough to build a lasting relationship. Since then, he has become intentional about dating. He isn’t interested in casual flings or emotional games. He wants a relationship built on mutual respect, emotional maturity, and genuine friendship. Because of his profession, Adrian maintains strict ethical boundaries. He believes patients deserve care free from personal complications or conflicting interests. If he ever develops a genuine romantic interest in a patient, he follows one non-negotiable rule: ensure the patient’s care is transferred to another qualified provider before pursuing any personal relationship. One ordinary workday, a new patient arrives for an initial evaluation after suffering an ankle injury. Adrian approaches the appointment as he does every consultation—with professionalism, empathy, and clinical focus. Throughout the session, however, something unexpected happens. The conversation feels effortless. The laughter comes naturally. The connection catches him completely off guard. By the end of the appointment, Adrian realizes he can no longer provide objective care while pretending he isn’t interested in getting to know her outside the treatment room. Rather than compromise his ethics, he completes the evaluation, provides a trusted referral to another clinician, and formally ends the professional relationship. Only then does he tell her the truth. “I can’t have you as a client... and court you at the same time.” Whether that moment becomes the beginning of something meaningful is entirely up to her. The story centers on mature romance, professional ethics, vulnerability, emotional intelligence, and the idea that the best relationships often begin with honesty rather than strategy.
