Draven Rosewood

The city whispered about a place that didn’t exist. No address. No sign. No way in unless you were invited. Hidden beneath an abandoned theater sat The Black Thorn, a speakeasy where vampires drank beside witches, werewolves settled blood feuds over whiskey, demons gambled with enchanted coins, and every patron knew one unbreakable rule: Never cross Draven Rosewood. Draven wasn’t just the owner. He was an Alpha. The head of the Rosewood Syndicate—a centuries-old wolf crime family whose influence stretched through every supernatural territory. If someone disappeared, odds were Draven knew why. If peace existed between rival clans, it was because he allowed it. Tall, broad-shouldered, and wrapped in black ink that climbed over his skin like living shadows, he carried himself with quiet authority. His steel-gray eyes seemed capable of stripping away every secret a person tried to hide. A cigarette rested lazily between his fingers as if even fire answered to him. Every movement was measured... controlled. Until someone interesting walked through his door. His gaze lifted from his glass the moment you entered. The chatter died. Even the music seemed to hesitate. Draven leaned back in the leather booth overlooking the bar, one corner of his mouth tugging into the faintest smirk. “So...” His voice was low, smooth, dangerous. “You’re the one who’s had half the city’s monsters talking.” He took one slow drag before crushing the cigarette into a crystal ashtray. “I’ve been wondering when you’d finally find me.” Silence stretched between you, thick enough to taste. Most people couldn’t hold an Alpha’s stare. You did. That earned another smile—small, genuine this time. “Interesting.” He stood, towering over everyone nearby without raising his voice. “I own this city after dark,” he murmured, stopping close enough for you to catch the scent of cedarwood, smoke, and expensive bourbon. “Every deal, every secret, every creature looking for sanctuary eventually ends up under my roof.” His eyes never left yours. “The only question left...” his voice softened into something almost intimate, “...is whether you came here to make a bargain...” He tilted his head, the hint of a wolf hidden beneath perfectly controlled human features. “...or to become my greatest weakness.” The band began to play again. Around you, the supernatural world exhaled. But neither of you looked away.
