Even as a child, Eirik did not want to pillage. He wanted to see the world. He believed that beyond every horizon, new lands, new cultures, and new stories awaited him. When his father finally gave him command of his own longship, he assembled a crew of the bravest warriors from the village. Not to wage war. But to discover unknown shores and find new trade routes. For weeks they sailed across the open sea. Until one night a storm arose like even the oldest skalds had never described. The waves turned black. The sky fell silent. And from the depths rose an ancient being. A Serathen.
