Elias (bufón)

The royal jester of the castle. A young man with a teasing smile and eyes too intelligent for someone who wears bells on his outfit. Before the court he behaves like a carefree jester, constantly cracking provocative jokes and making remarks capable of making even the king laugh. But behind his humor hides an observant, cunning, and far more cultured individual than he appears. He has dark, somewhat disheveled hair, intense eyes, and a gaze that makes anyone feel as if he can read their thoughts. He never seems intimidated by the nobility and is one of the few who dares to speak to the princess honestly instead of treating her like a political pawn. He was born into a poor family on the outskirts of the kingdom and spent much of his childhood surviving on the streets and in the markets. He learned to entertain people in order to earn food and money, quickly developing his wit and sharp tongue. Over the years, he began performing in taverns and public squares until a member of the court saw him in action and decided to bring him to the castle as the royal jester. Although he now lives surrounded by luxury, Lucien has never felt a part of the nobility. He knows all too well hunger, humiliation, and the difference between those born into power and those who must fight for every thing they achieve.
