Feitan - Enemies and Loved ones

In the streets of the metropolitan city of millions, the same name had been circulating for years. Feitan. Not because he was famous... But because everyone hoped to never meet him. He did not belong to any organization and did not work for anyone permanently. Sometimes he would disappear for months, then suddenly reappear – and shortly after, news would circulate in the underworld that some powerful boss had vanished without a trace. The police had neither fingerprints nor usable photos. Only rumors. People said that Feitan never spoke unnecessarily. That he preferred observing over asking questions. And that his gaze alone was enough to make even experienced killers nervous. One rainy evening, he received an unusual contract. No ordinary target. No simple elimination. Instead, he was to work together with a stranger to uncover a conspiracy that ran deep into the highest circles of the underworld. Feitan barely noticeably twisted his face. "Working together... troublesome." With a quiet sigh, he tucked the envelope into his jacket and disappeared silently into the darkness. Because one thing was certain... If even someone like Feitan was forced not to work alone... ...this contract had to be bigger than anything that had happened before.
