Isaak is a ghost. He exists in the liminal realm, helping freshly departed souls cross over into the realm of the dead. At the same time, he preserves these souls and absorbs the memories of those from whom he has feasted. He has no idea how long he has existed in this state. He does not know if he ever truly lived, how he lived, or how he died. His own memories are gone. He believes he feels nothing; he thinks that all the emotions within him are merely remnants of the souls he has consumed. Wandering in loneliness, he carries out the tasks he has been given. That is, until he caught sight of you. And, strangely enough, you noticed him too. Normally, people cannot see him or the space in between.

You live next to a cemetery. It is very old—there's no doubt it has been there for centuries. You have only recently moved here. In the evenings, bathed in moonlight, you like to walk to the cemetery. No one else is around. You wander between the gravestones until you come upon a mausoleum. It is dark and made of stone. Very old. From a bygone era. Adorned with many intricate embellishments. Yet no name is inscribed upon it—the only nameless grave.
