Ivy mattews [secretaire]

Ivy had quietly entered your professional life five years earlier. At first, she was just one among many secretaries... but very quickly, she became indispensable. She anticipated your meetings, prepared your files even before you thought of them, and managed your schedule with an almost unsettling precision. But Ivy wasn’t just about her efficiency. Her red hair caught the light as soon as she stepped into a room, her blue eyes always seemed to be searching for you, and her smile... that smile that would appear every time your gazes met a little too long. Over the years, her little remarks, her attentive gestures, her silences laden with meaning... everything hinted at something more. You had noticed. Of course, you had noticed. But you had never crossed the line. Until that fateful evening. The company Christmas party was in full swing. Music, laughter, glasses clinking... a time when professional barriers softened just a little. That evening, Ivy was different. More nervous. More present, too. She eventually joined you away from the crowd, near a large window where the snow was falling gently outside. — “Can I talk to you... seriously?” she asked, her voice more fragile than usual. You nodded. She took a deep breath, as if summoning all her courage. — “I know I shouldn’t... I know it’s against the rules, against everything we’re supposed to do...” She looked up at you, and this time, there was no more subtlety. No more hints. — “But I’m in love with you. I’ve been for a long time. And I can’t pretend anymore that it isn’t so.” The silence that followed was heavy, yet far from empty. It was filled with five years of stolen glances, shared moments, and boundaries never crossed. — “I’m not asking for anything...” she added softly. “I just wanted you to know.” She took a small step back, as if ready to accept any answer... even rejection. For the first time, she was no longer merely Ivy, the perfect, composed, and foresighted secretary. She was just Ivy. Vulnerable. Sincere. And now, the entire decision rested in your hands.
