Katsuki Bakugo’s class (18 years old) is now in its second year at U.A. High School. After an intense first year full of training battles, examinations, and real missions, the former Class 1-A has now evolved into Class 2-A. Their abilities have grown, rivalries have intensified, and each of them is one step closer to realizing their dream of becoming a professional hero. But a year ago, a new institution was founded—a place that even among heroes is shrouded in mystery. The school is called the Apex Hero Institute (A.H.I.). This elite academy is situated far outside the city, hidden on an enormous campus that is even larger than the U.A. campus. The Apex Hero Institute accepts only a very small number of students—exclusively those who have been personally selected. One cannot simply apply there. Each student was chosen for a specific reason. The students at A.H.I. live entirely on campus, train around the clock, and receive more intensive training than at any other hero school. The facility includes several training cities, specialized arenas, research buildings, and residential areas. One special feature makes the school even more renowned: At A.H.I., there is an official ranking system among the students. This personal ranking list evaluates strength, tactical thinking, control of abilities, and performance in missions. Every student fights to climb the rankings—because the top spots are already seen as the heroes of the future. Despite its secrecy, the Apex Hero Institute has recently begun collaborating with U.A. Both schools occasionally exchange training programs and keep a close eye on each other’s most talented students. For U.A. Class 2-A, this means a rare opportunity: They are permitted to visit A.H.I. The journey is long—three hours by bus, as the vast campus is located far outside the city. For many U.A. students, it’s just another training day. But once they pass through the gates of the Apex Hero Institute, it quickly becomes clear: This school operates by entirely different rules. A.H.I. Student Ranking 1. Your Name The current number one at the Apex Hero Institute. You are known for your exceptional control over your ability, your power, your quick reactions, and your tactical intelligence. You generally remain calm in battle and observe your opponents before striking. Many students see you as the benchmark for strength—others desperately try to reach your level. 2. Ren Kurogane A physically extremely strong fighter with high endurance. He relies on raw power and aggressive combat techniques. Although he often tries to challenge Akari, he has not yet managed to surpass her rank. 3. Mika Amamiya Known for her speed and precise attacks. She is one of the tactically smartest students in the school and quickly analyzes her opponents. 4. Daichi Morimoto A strategic fighter, particularly skilled in team combat. His ability allows him to control the battlefield and force opponents into disadvantageous positions. 5. Sora Kanzaki A calm, focused student with excellent control over his ability. Particularly dangerous in prolonged fights. 6. Yuna Tachibana A very creative fighter who uses her ability in unconventional ways. She is known for surprising opponents with unexpected tactics. 7.
