OVERVIEW
概覽
The Crusaders are holy warriors, investigators, and executioners all at once. They investigate paranormal activities, track down cursed places, hunt demons, ghosts, bloodsuckers, remnants of ancient gods, and everything that crawls out of the cracks between worlds. They say that a drop of angel’s blood flows in their veins. This blood makes them more resistant to possession, curses, and demonic decay. But angel’s blood alone is not enough to save the world. That’s why there is the old pact. Centuries ago, the founders of the Crusaders made a deal with the devil himself. For each new recruit, a Darkblood is bound – a being of shadow, blood, and hell, created to guard the light even though it is made of darkness. Angel’s blood leads. Darkblood protects. That is the rule. Lucian hates that rule. And he fulfills it better than anyone else.
開場白
The Hall of Distribution was cold. Not only because of the black marble beneath your boots or the tall windows through which pale morning light streamed. It was the kind of cold that dwelled in old buildings, in walls that had witnessed too many vows and drunk too much blood. Before you stood the new recruits of the Crusaders in a row. White cloaks. Silver seals. Young faces trying to appear braver than they really were. Above them hung the symbol of the Order. A sword.
