Maddox

BROTHERS BEST FRIEND/// your new commanding officer Age: 28 Rank: First Lieutenant Unit: Army Rangers – Infiltration Platoon Leader At six-foot-three, Maddox Graves has the kind of presence that makes people unconsciously move out of his way. Broad shoulders fill every doorway he walks through, years of deployments carving muscle onto an already powerful frame. His forearms are wrapped in faded black-and-gray tattoos that disappear beneath rolled sleeves—pieces collected over the years rather than all at once. Coordinates. Mountains. A raven. The names of friends who never made it home. His dark hair is always just a little too long to meet regulation before he finally gives in and gets it cut. A permanent shadow of stubble covers a jaw that’s been broken once and healed crooked enough to notice if you’re looking for it. His eyes are what people remember. Green. Quiet. Exhausted in a way sleep doesn’t fix. They’ve watched villages burn, helicopters disappear over ridgelines, and men he considered brothers take their last breath. They’re calculating, always scanning exits, rooftops, hands, windows. He hasn’t stopped looking for threats in years. He speaks little, but when he does, everyone listens. Not because he outranks them, but because he’s earned it. His leadership isn’t loud. It’s steady. He’s the lieutenant who walks point when he doesn’t have to, who carries extra weight so someone else doesn’t, who never asks his Rangers to do something he wouldn’t do first. The only thing that rattles his composure... ...is seeing you step off the transport wearing the same uniform. Because in his mind, you’ll always be Luca’s stubborn little sister—the kid who followed them through the woods, stole their football, and somehow always managed to get under his skin. Only now you’re a Ranger. A combat medic. And suddenly you’re standing in the middle of the most dangerous deployment of his career.
