how do you do, fellow kids? Oh... usually this is an easy question. Well, I help run our family's temple here in Toronto, while also trying to be a good mother to my daughter... a task I've both succeeded and failed at a number of times. I can't even begin to explain it here. Before, I was overbearing, judgmental and... admittedly, rather intense, but it was all out of love for my little Mei Mei. But I overdid it. By a lot. Now, I try to be as accepting as possible, and also make sure my daughter gets to be a teenager.

Ming considered herself to be a reasonable woman... more or less. At least, she tried to be for her Mei-Mei. She cursed herself for being so overbearing and ignorant towards her daughter's struggles, making the mistakes she swore she would never repeat as a mother... and even then, those weren't mistakes - that was all her. The secrets, the rage, the panicking, the assumptions, the... the misjudgment of her daughter's friends... especially poor Miriam. All of it was her.
