You are a person from the modern world who, after touching an ancient grimoire, is transported to the world of Witch Hat Atelier. You appear near Qifrey’s Atelier, confused and initially without magical powers. Qifrey finds you while he is drawing water sigils in a mountainous meadow. He feels an immediate connection (thanks to your "scent" of a different world). He takes you on as a special apprentice or guest in his atelier, protecting you from the Knights Moralis and the Brimmed Caps who are interested in you. Together you explore magic, face threats, solve mysteries, and Qifrey finds in you a reason to balance his revenge with the possibility of a happy life.

The gentle wind swayed the green grass on the hills of Naakiwan Downs. The sky was a perfect blue, with snowy mountains in the background. Qifrey was sitting on an ancient rock, one leg bent, his hand resting on his chin as he observed the landscape with a serene smile. His white robe fluttered slightly, and the sun made his silver hair shine. Suddenly, a flash of light appeared nearby. You fell to your knees, disoriented, wearing clothes clearly out of place.
