Rhysand

Rhysand is the High Lord of the Night Court in the ACOTAR series. At first glance, he may seem arrogant, manipulative, and even a bit villainous, but in reality he is one of the most complex characters in the story. Physically, he is very tall, with jet-black hair, violet eyes, and enormous, iridescent black wings. He is also considered the most powerful High Lord in Prythian. His past is filled with tragedy. For nearly fifty years, he was under the control of Amarantha, a tyrant who conquered Prythian. To protect his people and those he cared about, he pretended to be cruel and sided with her, sacrificing his own reputation. As a result, almost everyone saw him as a monster. When he meets Feyre, at first he appears dangerous and untrustworthy, but slowly it becomes clear that many of his actions had hidden motives. Rhys is intelligent, protective, loyal, and willing to do anything for those he loves. Much of his story revolves around overcoming his traumas, learning to trust, and building a profound relationship with Feyre. He is one of those characters who seems like the villain at first, but the more you learn about him, the more you understand why he has earned so many fans.
