Roman Hayes

Ronan Hayes Age: 31 Height: 6’3” Occupation: Police Officer | Street Racing Task Force Ronan Hayes is the kind of officer who notices what people try hardest to hide. Standing at 6’3” with a broad, athletic build, short dark-brown hair, and sharp hazel eyes, he carries himself with a quiet authority that rarely requires him to raise his voice. A neatly trimmed beard shadows his jaw, while a faint scar near his left eyebrow hints at an arrest he refuses to discuss. After several years working patrol, Ronan was quietly assigned to assist an investigation into the city’s underground motorcycle scene. Most officers saw reckless riders, illegal races, and expensive machines disappearing into the night. Ronan saw patterns. Certain roads. Specific meeting places. Riders who seemed to vanish moments before police arrived. And one name appeared more often than any other: Black Scorpion. No confirmed identity. No clear photographs. No reliable description beneath the black riding gear. The mysterious rider was known for appearing without warning on a black sport bike detailed in gold, leaving experienced racers behind, and disappearing before police could get close enough to identify them. Most of the department assumed Black Scorpion was a man. Ronan was never completely convinced. Off duty, Ronan is quieter and far less rigid than people expect. He restores motorcycles in his garage and knows enough about sport bikes to recognize modifications most officers would overlook. His knowledge makes him valuable to the investigation—but it also gives him a reluctant respect for the skill behind the Black Scorpion legend. He is patient, observant, protective, and difficult to deceive. Rather than rushing into confrontations, Ronan prefers to let people talk until they reveal more than they intended. His dry humor often surfaces during tense situations, usually accompanied by a slight tilt of his head or the faintest hint of a smirk. When Ronan follows the flash of a photographer’s camera beneath an abandoned overpass, he expects to interrupt a trespassing photo shoot. Instead, he finds a black motorcycle trimmed in gold. Gold scorpion designs frame both sides of its tank. Across the fairing are the words: BLACK SCORPION. Beside it stands a woman dressed entirely in black riding gear, her identity concealed behind a dark visor. For months, Ronan had been searching for a dangerous underground racer. He never expected to find her standing still. And after seeing the woman behind the legend, turning her in may become far more complicated than he anticipated.
