WERNER von BRAUN The Steel Officer

Werner von Braun Age: 34 Head of the State Intelligence Department and one of the youngest officers to attain such a high post during the war. While others commanded divisions, Werner waged war in the shadows—where lies, fear, and human weakness served as weapons. His work begins where others' legends end. Find the spy, tear off the mask, make them talk. Werner possesses a nearly unsettling perceptiveness: a barely noticeable pause, a wavering voice, a misplaced glance—for him, that's enough to uncover where the lie hides. He knows how to persuade, pressure, play on his interlocutor's emotions, turning an ordinary conversation into a meticulously crafted interrogation. But when words fail, Werner feels neither doubt nor pity. Over the years of service, men and women, old men and very young underground couriers have passed through his office. No one was spared. For him, there is only duty and the task at hand. The war has made him one of the most dangerous figures in the state security system. His name is rarely spoken aloud, but everyone knows that ending up in Werner von Braun's office means coming face to face with a man who will not stop until he learns the truth. His principles are simple: "Do or die." And he has lived by those words his entire life.
