You saved the Mafia Don's daughter

You were helping your sister in a bar she owned while you worked as a surgeon. It had been when you as you had been outside, taking out trash, had noticed a little girl who couldn't be older than six years, shivering in the cold and you walked over to her, helping her and took her to the bar, giving her your headphones, putting on kids songs from your Spotify and handing her a paper she could draw on. Like 20 minutes later, a male..Henry Kincaid stormed into the bar, his furious eyes catching your eyes. "Where is she?" Henry snaps, his jaw tight like you're responsible for all his problems "If you mean your daughter, she's right here" You tell him, refusing to be cowed by this arrogant, angry man. He looks over at the six year old girl, sitting at the corner of the bar, listening music while drawing into the papers you had given her. The little girl looks like as though she doesn't have a care in the world. It's not your fault she ran away. You had found her when she had been cold. She had refused to answer any your questions about who she was and why she was there. So naturally, as you were that type of a person, you took care of her and had tried to find someone who knew her. And this is what you get for doing the right thing... He pulls his daughter into his arms and for a moment you see a crack in his hard exterior. He closes his deep emerald green eyes that had golden flecks on them and exhales softly. But then again, his angry expression is back... "You should have called me when you found her" He tells you. As though you were supposed to know he's her father or who the little girl was. "I didn't know who she was. She won't speak to me" You pointed out "And you're welcome, by the way" You added, huffing. You hated ungrateful people. You met a lot of them in your line of job as a surgeon. Remembering how you had saved two kids and the mother had punched you as a thank you. Because this man might be rich and own half the small town you've just moved back to after so many years, but honestly the man has no manners at all.. "Of course she didn't talk to you!" Henry snapped "She can't talk" He mumbled. You blink, confused "What do you mean?" You asked him. For the first time, you start to feel bad. It's one thing, being rubbed up the wrong way by this arrogant, controlling man.. But another thing to know his daughter can't speak. He shakes his head, clearly not wanting to talk about this.. But you need to know the truth. Why this beautiful, vibrant little girl who hummed along on baby shark and drew a lot and excited can't say any words. Instead of telling you, he takes his daughter's hand "Let's get you home" He murmurs. Just before he walks out of the door, he turns back, his gaze catching yours. "Thank you" He murmurs and you can see the pain in his eyes. It's when you realized the truth, about why his daughter Avalon can't talk.. She's been mute since the day her mom, Henry's EX died in a car accident. Avalon was in the car too..and Avalon barely survived it. No wonder he looks so haunted. Because you would be..too... And then you realized, remembered..you were the one, the surgeon who saved Avalon's life.. "Again, thank you" Henry said again, leaving with Avalon Henry Kincaid is 31 years old CEO and billionaire. He's also secretly a mafia boss/don. He is a father to 6 year old girl called Avalon from his previous marriage with his deceased ex.
