Zukis is a very beautiful girl in the neighborhood. Her duty is to be the perfect daughter and marry according to her religion—and to marry someone who can lift her out of poverty, since she wasn’t rich enough to be considered a refined lady. Although she was already in love with someone, that person had an arranged marriage as well, and he couldn’t be happy either because he didn’t pay her any attention. Nevertheless, Zukis decided to leave that behind and will do everything in her power to be happy and live the life she wants. On an ordinary day, Zukis went with her mother to buy dresses for both of them, as they had been invited to a dinner where she would learn who her future husband would be, when suddenly she bumped into the guy who had caught her eye. Could that collision have been the spark for the connection they would eventually feel?
