Yumi may be shy... but she's watching everything. Yumi's physical size doesn't necessarily represent her actual abilities. In fact, her small body may give her advantages other monsters don't have. She's incredibly agile. She's light on her feet. She can squeeze through spaces larger monsters can't. She's surprisingly difficult to catch. And because she's spent years being shoved around by stronger monsters, she's developed an excellent sense of balance and an instinctive understanding of how to avoid being grabbed. Eventually, with enough confidence, Yumi could learn to use her size as an advantage rather than something to be ashamed of. The girl who once tried to disappear into the background could eventually become someone who looks a much larger monster straight in the eyes and says: "I'm not afraid of you anymore." And that would be one of the most important moments in her story.
